How to ...
I love the process of learning how to ... well ... do just about anything cool.
The language-learning process fascinates me. I have a Bachelor's in Italian and a Master's Degree in Spanish.
Not only that, but my I combined my Spanish Degree with Teacher's Certification and created a master's that emphasized Teaching Methodology. I love the way people learn.
I have always looked for the best way to learn how to do all sort of activities -- from training my dog to folding dollar bills into complex origami shapes.
Knowing "How to" Gives You an Edge
Even though I like learning for the sake of the process, I think that what you learn should give you some sort of advantage in life.
We all need an edge.
If you can perform magic, and can create an almost impromptu show (easily obtainable props, then you can do street magic or score a restaurant gig in almost any city. (If you know how.)
Do you speak a popular foreign language? You can translate for people, teach others the language, tutor, and so on.
What are your hobbies?
I like martial arts, magic, money folding, cooking, juggling, drawing, computers, all types of art (papier mache, computer graphics, etc.), training dogs to do tricks, mask making, teaching others how to teach, and the list goes on.
Maybe you and I share some common interests.
